Pizza Dough

Super Easy Pizza Dough

1 (.25 ounce) package of active dry yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water

2 1/2 cups flour (all purpose or bread)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspooon salt



Preheat oven to 450* F
In a medium bowl , dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, approximately 5 minutes .

Stir in the flour, salt, and oil. Mix until the mixer is smooth, let rest a few minutes.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Prepare your pizza pan, choose to oil and/or sprinkle with cornmeal. (I did both as it was my first attempt at this recipe)

Transfer your dough onto your tray and using your fingers carefully stretch the dough to your desired thickness.
Add sauce, toppings and sprinkle with cheese.

Place in your preheated over, for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
Once it has been removed from the oven let it sit for a few minutes before cutting.
